My recommendation is AVG Free Edition from Grisoft (http://free.grisoft.com). Does an absolutely fantastic job. They have a paid for version, but for most home users it isn't necessary.For anti-spyware I recommend Windows Defender from Microsoft. Rock solid and well supported. Only change I make to the configuration is to make sure it does a Full Scan every night and that it Removes anything it finds. Keeps you Windows PC running sweetly.- Neil.

I'm either gonna get that or The Shield! My mom has AVG and it runs GREAT for her!! And she did end up buying it though!
