Karmyn began writing songs at an early age, recording them on a mini cassette recorder and proudly sharing them with friends and family. But it wasn’t until podcaster Adam Curry—widely known as the “Podfather”—played her cover of Summertime without permission on his Daily Source Code podcast that she realized the importance of owning her creative voice. That moment inspired her to write and produce her own original music. Her debut song, Drifting,” quickly gained traction and became one of the most-played tracks during the early days of the podcasting era.
